What does the $99 New Patient Special include?

It covers a comprehensive exam and digital X-rays for new patients without dental insurance. Your cleaning is scheduled separately and priced separately.

How long will my first appointment take?

Plan on about an hour. We take time to get to know you, review your history and explain what we find, so you're never rushed.

Can I transfer my records from my previous dentist?

Yes. Let us know who your previous dentist was and we can request your records and recent X-rays, which may save you from repeating X-rays you've already had.

What if I'm nervous about the dentist?

Tell us. You're not alone, and it helps us help you. We explain each step before we do it, go at your pace, and you can ask for a break at any time.

Your first visit, step by step

Book online or by phoneChoose a time in our online scheduler or call (512) 910-3456. If you have insurance, have your card handy so we can verify your benefits before you arrive.
Arrive about 15 minutes earlyThis gives you time to complete or review your new-patient paperwork and settle in.
Meet Dr. TamkeenWe review your health history and talk about any concerns or goals you have for your smile.
Exam and digital X-raysA comprehensive exam, including your gums, bite and an oral cancer screening, with X-rays to see what the eye can't.
Your plan, explainedWe show you what we found and lay out any recommended treatment, with costs, before anything is scheduled.
Your cleaningWe do the exam and X-rays first so we can properly evaluate your gum health. Your cleaning is then scheduled as a quick follow-up, or done the same day if time allows.
